Govan Home and Education Link Project, like all charities, is governed by a voluntary Management Board who oversee the strategic and ongoing running of the project. Trustee are volunteers and therefore unpaid. Training is provided to Trustees to ensure they understand their responsibilities.
Our Memorandum and Articles of Association states that the Board of Trustees can be parents and staff from the nursery/schools or co-opted community members.
The Board meets monthly during the school year (10 meetings per year).
Meetings are run with an agenda, and financial and activity reports are provided by the Treasurer and Chief Officer respectively.
Trustees are asked to commit for one full year. At the AGM (Annual General Meeting) trustees stand down and a new Board is voted in for the coming year.
