Parents/carers and other community members can volunteer to help out in the children’s schools as a classroom helper, on trips or for occasional activities.
Govan H.E.L.P. is also hoping to involve more volunteers in the running of our activities such as the breakfast club and walking bus.
Govan H.E.L.P. trains and arranges disclosure (PVG) checks for all volunteers before they can become involved with working with children. While the schools provide day to day supervision for school volunteers, we also can provide support and provide opportunities for volunteers to come together from time to time.
Volunteering provides an opportunity to give back to the community, encourages and supports children, helps volunteers gain experience and skills which can help with employment and allows volunteers to make new friends.
