Summer of Fun! Following conversations with our partners in Govan we noticed there were lots of summer trips and fun days for school age children and limited, free activities for pre-school children.
Starting in January 2019, the Tron Theatre will be running free storytelling and play classes in Govan & Linthouse Parish Church. These classes are suitable for pre-school children aged 0-4, and involve stories, games and imaginative play.
Over the summer there are a number of free events happening in and around the Govan area. Govan Youth Information Project have events in Govan Road Campus Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 12:00 Noon and again from 1:00 pm - 3:00pm. All participants must register to attend.
Home-Start Glasgow South would like to invite Dads with their kids up to 8 years of age to enjoy sports and games at the Glasgow Club Drumoyne every Wednesday for 6 weeks from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm, starting from 9th May until 13th June.
On 18th of October Govan HELP took a group of 7 families (28 parents and children) to New Lanark, one of Scotland’s 6 UNESCO World Heritage Sites of ‘outstanding universal value’.
