Training & Volunteering

Our Training & Volunteering opportunities assist local people to develop skills, build confidence and achieve their goals. In doing so, we aim to reduce social isolation and strengthen links within the Govan community.

Our current volunteering programme is delivered exclusively within The Govan Pantry, our subsidised community shop. We offer a bespoke training programme that equips and prepares volunteers to support the running of the Pantry. We also offer access to a range of accredited qualifications – First Aid, Food Hygiene, Manual Handling and Health & Safety – that volunteers can complete to help build their skills and experience, enhancing future employability prospects.

Volunteers are a vital part of our service and are greatly valued by our organisation and the wider community.

Anyone thinking of exploring volunteering opportunities with Govan HELP can contact Rosalyn by phone or email. Alternatively, you can fill in the form by clicking ‘contact us’ below.
