Govan HELP at the Royal Garden Party!

Viv Sawers, Chief Officer, and Steph McFadden, Operations and Development Manager, proudly represented Govan HELP at this year’s Royal Garden Party, held at the Palace of Holyrood House in Edinburgh on June 4th, 2023.

The invitation was extended by the Prince of Wales Charitable Fund (PWCF), which has been a vital supporter of The Govan Pantry's ongoing operations.

This event was an opportunity to raise the profile of Govan HELP, and how we are actively helping to address the needs of the Govan community — through The Govan Pantry, but especially through our range of family support services.

The event also provided an opportunity for meaningful connections centred around community action, as Yvonne Abba-Opoku, Head of Governance and Operations Manager for PWCF, graciously hosted us alongside fellow invitees from other charitable organisations such as OluOlu Foods and Toonspeak.

Despite the classic Scottish weather – relentless rain – the event was a heartening experience, underlining the significance of collaborative efforts in making positive changes within communities.

Viv enjoying the relentless rain.
